We asked children what they think mobility will look like in the future. In three workshops at different daycare centres, the children had a great time coming up with ideas and designs on the topic. We then used AI to visualise their approaches. Children are excellent problem solvers whose ideas are worth listening to. They can easily put themselves in other worlds, roles or scenarios, which is amazing because it means they can develop unconventional ideas and generate innovative solutions. What's more, children are more willing to take risks and show a higher tolerance for mistakes, turning experimentation into a playful experience.

Mobile green spaces

Eva's (5) picture shows a tree that can walk. It has eyes and can decide for itself where to stand. You can even ask it to come to a certain place. Eva's idea has led to the creation of mobile green spaces that can adapt to the needs of our cities as they change and grow. Mobile green spaces keep our cities cool and green. They help us to avoid heat accumulation and bring more plants and nature into our urban environments. By using different plants, we can make our environment more comfortable for all of us.

The flying City

Georg's (5) picture shows an airship with water reserves and hydrogen propulsion, equipped with small wings. The passengers are seated in the colourful rectangles. This airship has the unique ability not only to fly, but also to dive underwater. Dive into a world of floating cities, where an airship serves not only as a means of transport, but also as a home high in the air and deep beneath the waves. An innovative solution to open up new living space and maximise mobility. These mobile cities offer the advantage of being able to relocate as needed to meet changing requirements.

Propeller backpack

The picture of Nora (4) shows a person with wings moving effortlessly. We have derived a drone backpack from Nora's drawing that pushes the boundaries of mobility. We are opening up a completely new dimension in passenger transport. To minimise our ecological footprint, the whole thing works electrically - of course!

Exhibition

A series of posters for a fictitious exhibition was designed to introduce the children´s work to the public. It is intended to show visitors the potential of the children's ideas - we just have to listen carefully.
